Robbins Island

Robbins IslandRobbins Island was formed about 25,000 years ago during the Wisconsin glaciation period. Early people used it as a refuge from prairie fires and their enemies. Artifacts, dated approximately 3,000 years old have been found on the island. Robbins Island has since become a park with picnic shelters, playground equipment, nature trails, swimming beach and Frisbee golf course.
